Hi, I’m Theresa—the creative mind and hands behind Emerald & Oak.

For years, my world was defined by the fast-paced routine of a corporate role. While I built a successful career there, I always felt a pull toward something more tactile, creative, and fulfilling. Deep down, I wanted to pour my energy into a true passion: working with my hands to create beautiful, tangible things.

Emerald & Oak is the result of that leap of faith.

What started as a personal passion project quickly evolved into a dedicated pursuit of design. I discovered a love for the hunt—finding furniture with excellent structural potential, from sturdy pines to unique veneers, and seeing past the dated finishes. I don't look at a weathered buffet or a tired dresser for what it was, but for what it can be.

Because I am building this brand from the ground up, I don't take shortcuts. Every piece I curate is a labor of love. I obsess over the details—spending hours perfecting the sanding, sourcing the right high-durability finishes, and hand-selecting modern hardware to ensure each item is a premium, functional piece of art.

My goal is simple: to bring a fresh, contemporary vision to furniture restoration, creating striking statement pieces that elevate your home.
